ALKU has been the specialist in plastic window frames, doors and sliding doors for over thirty years. From their own factory in Tilburg and a nationwide network of dealers, ALKU provides high-quality customization for individuals and businesses. The entire process, from product development to production and assembly, is completely under ALKU’s control. In our own hands and in our own country, because ALKU window frames are 100% a Dutch manufacture. And those curious about the possibilities can visit more than 30 showrooms nationwide where you can see and feel everything for yourself. Question

ALKU’s old website was no longer adequate. Even though it looked very good on the front end, the CMS was cumbersome, inflexible and difficult for the marketing team to manage. ALKU asked us to improve it and create a sustainable solution. We rebuilt the existing site into a stable and future-proof WordPress platform, allowing the team to work efficiently and independently again. In addition, we laid the foundation for further growth and optimization, matching ALKU’s ambitions.

Challenge

ALKU operates in a competitive market, with many discounters and fast web shops. But ALKU stands for personal attention, customization and a worry-free service, even long after delivery. These values distinguish ALKU and the website had to reflect and support this.

At the same time, these core values had to actually be found by the right target audience. Because no matter how well a website matches who ALKU is and what it stands for, if no one finds it, that story remains invisible. This is precisely why the website had to be strong and, above all, organically findable. This way ALKU remains visible to the right target group and can compete with the web shops.

Solution

Together with ALKU, we developed a complete redesign. A sharp positioning and branding that stands as a house. Although ALKU is not a webshop, a customized product configurator ensures that visitors can still put together their ideal product. We built an integrated link with HubSpot so that ALKU’s marketing team can follow up directly with automated email flows. And to continuously improve the website, we work with monthly sprints to make the website a little better, faster and more converting.

To achieve the desired online visibility, the Resultsmatter trajectory was started. At ALKU, the main goal of this track is to achieve high search engine rankings using SEO, content creation and link building.

Approach

After the conversion, we built on the updated theme and framework a completely new branding that perfectly matched the updated corporate identity. We brought consistency to the sections, added smart conversion blocks and analyzed the user-flow. Which pages inform and which should convert above all? Each page was scrutinized to determine at which stage of the customer journey (See, Think, Do, Care) it fits best, with the right conversion goals. Each template and page was critically examined and optimized.

The configurator uses smart 3D models in which even the wood grain is visible. With conditional logic, colors and textures are automatically matched, so that only realistic combinations are possible. We also developed clear content types in the form of product pages, informative pages and a knowledge center packed with SEO-optimized content, also visible in AI reviews.

Result

In addition to creating new, SEO-optimized content such as news articles and product pages, existing content proved extremely valuable. By strategically merging and cleverly combining pages, results skyrocketed. Thanks to a solid link-building budget, we were able to actually claim these positions. Because the website’s technology was also continuously monitored and improved, it meets today’s standards and ALKU’s content is also displayed in all kinds of AI tools.

The collaboration is structural. Monthly we evaluate and improve SEO capabilities, technical optimizations, structured data, loading speed, link building and more. What you give attention to, grows! We see that reflected in the numbers.
