KOTI is an international manufacturer of industrial and technical brush solutions for a variety of industries. From dusting car bodies to labeling products with labels-technical brushes are everywhere. With approximately 900 employees spread across several locations in Europe, KOTI provides customized solutions that contribute to efficient and innovative production processes.

Question

As a global player, KOTI had a comprehensive, multilingual Web site. But behind the scenes, it was difficult to manage. Adding new pages? A challenge. Expanding functionality? Risky, because each tweak could break something else. As a result, the website was lagging behind and not being used to its full potential as a marketing tool. KOTI asked 2manydots to create a modern, scalable and easily manageable website that did justice to the company’s international appeal.

Challenge

With thousands of custom applications and products, a clear menu structure was essential. Visitors needed to be able to easily find the right brush solution without losing the unique customization features. In addition, accrued SEO value had to be maintained and content migration had to run smoothly.

An additional challenge: KOTI has multiple subsidiaries. So the new website had to be flexible enough to easily expand to multiple websites in the future, with only primary colors and a few corporate identity elements needing to be changed.

Solution

We opted for a scalable solution. This allows new functionalities to be rolled out to new and/or underlying websites at once, without duplication of effort. A solid, future-proof basis.

The product pages are designed like a web shop, making inquiries intuitive and user-friendly. Custom request forms for each product make it even easier to contact KOTI directly. Visually, the website received an upgrade. Flexible sections, videos and micro-animations provide a modern, dynamic look. A darker color palette brings more contrast and professionalism. And corporate identity elements with a nod to brush fibers make the branding a subtle but powerful presence.

Approach

The website had to not only showcase the products, but also highlight KOTI’s versatility and expertise. We therefore relied on a well thought-out mega-menu where visitors can quickly find the right category or application, an extensive filter system to search for targeted products & customized sections that highlight the unique features of KOTI’s solutions. With this new corporate website, KOTI is ready for the future-a strong online presence that is both scalable and user-friendly.
