Why you need a new website

Increasingly, people are using their cell phones or tablets to visit websites. But when they land on a non-responsive website, they are often gone within 2 seconds. We explain how a new website can solve this problem (and others), increasing your visitor numbers again.

Mobile first

With more and more people surfing the Internet via mobile devices, the standard requirements for websites have changed considerably in recent years. For example, visitors want to be able to read texts effortlessly on their mobile devices. Therefore, ask yourself if the font on your site is large enough and if the website scales with you when someone views it on their phone. Long chunks of text also do your website more harm than good. Short paragraphs and lots of white space create air.

Technical requirements and uncluttered sites

To properly convey your message and generate conversion, it is important to organize your website properly. On modern websites, buttons, images and text are neatly arranged under each other. Where once all the information was crammed onto one small page, space is now essential. The visitor wants quiet scrolling, with headings and whitespace.

Online technologies are always evolving. Without getting into overly complicated terms: websites must display properly and quickly, in all browsers. A slow site annoys visitors and increases your bounce rate. Want to rank in Google? Make sure your site meets the technical requirements. The search engine looks at that first.

Why your website needs updating

  • You have a new corporate identity
  • You want to appeal to a different target audience
  • Visitor numbers drop
  • Current site no longer fits the company
  • The website is slow
  • You’ve been hacked
  • The website is not readable on mobile devices

Optimizing for high conversion

A new website alone won’t get you there. Of course it’s nice to have the flow of visitors back up, but ultimately you want to achieve your goals. These can be information requests, quote requests, newsletter subscriptions, job applications or direct sales. As specialists in converting websites, we love nothing more than testing changes to sites, in order to achieve maximum results bit by bit.
